Discover the Historic Stories of the Mounties at the RCMP Heritage Centre

When visiting Regina, Saskatchewan, the RCMP Heritage Centre belongs at the top of your must-see list. This world-class attraction and one of Regina’s top 5 experiences brings Canada’s iconic national police service to life through powerful stories, rare artifacts, and experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

The Centre is located beside the historic grounds of the RCMP Academy, known as Depot Division, where every Mountie has trained since 1885. Housed in a striking building designed by internationally renowned architect Arthur Erickson, the Centre is more than a museum, it’s a journey through Canada’s identity.

The Heritage Centre is an independent non-profit organization, not owned, operated, or funded by the RCMP. Every admission, souvenir purchase, and donation directly support public programming, operations, and community education.

A Story That Shaped a Nation

With roots stretching back over 150 years, the story of the NWMP/RCMP is the story of our country, one of service, sacrifice, and evolution. Told through six informative exhibits and a driving simulator, you are transported through the “March of the Mounties” and its evolution from a frontier police service to what it is known as today.

View rare, one-of-a-kind artifacts like original uniforms, a vintage RCMP Beechcraft D18S aircraft, and tools of the trade through the ages. Through six dynamic exhibits and a driving simulator, guests of all ages can immerse themselves in the evolution of one of the world’s most recognizable police services.

The RCMP Heritage Centre shares this story in a way that’s engaging, authentic, and deeply Canadian.

The Place of Reflection

The Place of Reflection stone medicine wheel began with 1,400 stones, each representing a missing or murdered Indigenous woman, girl, or two-spirit person in Canada at the time of its creation. In the heart of the circle lies a uniquely shaped stone, known as the buffalo heart, symbolizing the spirit and strength that grounds this sacred space.
